How do I export my catalog data from CloudStax?
The CloudStax Content Manager can provide you with a Catalog File containing all of the item/page data that's currently in your catalog. This is useful to save a copy or update some of the fields as an alternative to updates done in directly in CloudStax.
2. Select Export Data > Generate New CSV
Notice that most recent CSV Catalog File is 23 days old. Any changes made to the catalog in the last 23 days would not be included if you were to download the current CSV. To ensure that the CSV Catalog File is up-to-date, we need to first generate a new CSV File. This will create a downloadable CSV Catalog File with the current state of the Catalog Data. That way we know we are downloading an up-to-date version of the Catalog.
3. Refresh the page until the Download CSV timestamp changes to a more recent time
5. Save and download the file to your computer
The file will download with a .csv file extension.
6. Convert the file from .csv to excel and make any edits needed.
Please use CSV editing program that supports UTF-8 character encoding. We recommend Open Office Calc (PC) or iWorks Numbers (Mac).
Do not use Microsoft Excel to open or work with the file. Excel does not properly render CSV, UTF-8 files. You may end up seeing some strange characters due to Excel trying to convert the file. Please convert the file to .xls or .xlsx using another program if you plan to use Microsoft Excel.
